Mr Burger - Dimmitt

Tonight was my first time trying Mr. Burger. At first I was worried the food/service might not be good, but I was pleasantly surprised. It's a very good small town spot. Reminded me of a basketball game concession stand, where the buns are butter toasted and patties are well seasoned. Our food was fresh and delicious, and didnt take long at all, our order was correct as well. I ordered the classic Mr Burger medium combo with mayo no onion or tomato. The ladies up front were joyful and polite.

If you set your expectations accordingly then I think you'll be alright. It's the town's one and only local burger joint and as such has the 'charm' that I've come to expect from places like this. No, the food wasn't mind-blowing by any stretch of the imagination and the special homemade hot sauce really was not that hot.. but that's OK!! I can only describe my interactions with the staff as 'cute',. They were very accommodating to all my questions about the history of the establishment and my indecisiveness struggling to make a decision between the patty melt, bacon cheeseburger, or green chile burger.. ultimately I thought I ordered a patty melt with bacon but when my order came out, it didn't have bacon, but I'm glad it didn't because I could barely even finish the patty melt. This place has that old school vibe that just kind of hits the spot for me.

For the money it's hard to beat. My burger was as good or better than any other fast food joint and it appears to be a family business, not a chain store. The place fills up fast, lucky for us we beat the noon crowd.

I will forever be a huge fan of Mr Burger. The food is always fresh. Staff is very friendly. And the place is always clean with quick service. If you want a good home cooked burger, I highly recommend Mr Burger.

What an unexpected, pleasant surprise!! Everything about this place was good. I plan on stopping by on my return trip. If in the area I would strongly suggest paying a visit at this hidden gem.

With a name like Mr. Burger you wouldn't expect a grilled chicken sandwich to be one of the highlights but it definitely was for me, I ordered it several times over my stay nearby. Burgers are great too (default condiment is mustard so be aware), excellent fries and do not miss the killer onion rings!
